10. Intellectual property and service changes
Platform content, design, and software are the property of the Service Provider. The Service Provider may change Platform features, prices, or Terms; we will notify you of significant changes in advance by email or through the Platform.
11. Disputes and applicable law
Disputes are resolved through negotiations. Disagreements may be heard in Lithuanian Republic courts; mandatory consumer rights protection provisions apply to consumers. Lithuanian Republic law applies.
12. Contact
For questions regarding these Terms, privacy, payments, or cancellations: MB Tutlio, email info@tutlio.lt.
1. Service provider and scope
These terms of service (hereinafter – the Terms) govern the use of the Tutlio platform (hereinafter – the Platform). The service provider is MB Tutlio. By using the Platform (registration, login, lesson planning, payments, subscriptions), you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. The Terms comply with the Lithuanian Republic Civil Code, consumer rights protection, electronic services, and payment services legislation.
2. Registration and account
To use the Platform, you must register and agree to the Privacy Policy and these Terms. You commit to providing accurate and complete information and updating it as needed. Your account is personal; keep your password secure and do not share it. You are responsible for all actions performed through your account.
- Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription through Settings or the Stripe Customer Portal. After cancellation, the subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period; access to paid features will then be restricted.
- Switch plan: You can switch to another plan (e.g., from monthly to annual) following the procedure outlined on the Platform; prorated charges may apply according to Stripe and our settings.
- Refunds: The refund policy complies with Lithuanian consumer rights protection law and Stripe terms; specific cases are handled individually by contacting info@tutlio.lt.
3. Subscription and payments (for tutors)
Platform usage for tutors is paid. The standard subscription costs €20 per month, unless a different individually agreed arrangement applies. Payments are processed through Stripe – payment data is handled by Stripe according to its privacy and security policies.
4. Organizations and companies
The Platform allows organizations (e.g., tutoring centers, schools, companies) to create accounts and manage multiple tutors and students centrally. Organization subscription prices and terms may differ from individual tutors; specific terms are discussed individually with organization representatives.
5. Lesson cancellations and cancellation rules
Lesson cancellation conditions (e.g., hours before the lesson, cancellation fee percentage) are set by the tutor and/or organization; this information is visible on the Platform. Cancelling a lesson on time according to the set rules may not incur a fee; late cancellation may result in a percentage-based fee.
- Pay per lesson: For each lesson individually (before or after the lesson, according to tutor settings)
- Lesson packages: The payer can purchase a multi-lesson package in advance at a discount. Lessons are deducted from the package when booking
- Monthly invoices: The tutor can send monthly invoices for lessons that occurred during a certain period
6. Lesson payments (between tutor and student / parents)
Payment for specific lessons is made between the tutor and the student (or the payer – parents). The Platform offers a Stripe Checkout payment feature; payments are made to the tutor's Stripe account via the Stripe Connect system.
Payment model: The payer pays not only the lesson price but also a platform administration fee. This fee is 3.5% + €0.25 (fixed + percentage of the lesson price). The fee is added to the lesson price, so the tutor receives exactly the amount they set.
Payment methods:
Payment deadlines (before/after the lesson), payment reminders, and related information are displayed on the Platform and in emails. The tutor and the student (payer) are responsible for fulfilling obligations to each other, not MB Tutlio, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
7. Additional features
The Platform offers additional features such as Google Calendar synchronization, waitlist, automatic email reminders about upcoming lessons and payments. Feature availability may depend on the subscription plan.
